How Is a Breast Lift Performed?
During your consultation, the surgeon will thoroughly examine the condition of the breasts and then decide which incision pattern would be best for you. Our surgeons' incisions vary, depending on the degree of sagging and the support needed.
The most common incision patterns used for breast lifts are:
Anchor: Incisions are made around the areola, down to the base of the breast, and along the crease, in the shape of an anchor. This incision is best for patients with significant sagging who have a good deal of excess skin.
Lollipop: Also called a vertical lift, the incisions are made around the areola and then vertically from the bottom of the areola to the inframammary crease.
Donut: An incision encircles the outside edge of the areola. This option is limited to patients with mild sagging.

How much does a breast lift cost in Denver?
The cost of a breast lift depends on the extent of the procedure and whether it’s combined with augmentation or other body contouring procedures. We provide patients with detailed price quotes after their consultations.
What do scars look like after a breast lift?
One of the primary concerns of breast lift patients is the appearance of scars on their breasts. The incisions made around the areola and at the base of the breast are fairly inconspicuous. The scar resulting from the vertical incision fades over time, especially if you use treatments to minimize scarring.
How long is breast lift recovery?
You can expect to return to a non-strenuous job 3 to 5 days after the procedure. Breast lift patients return home on the day of surgery with their breasts wrapped in gauze. We will also have you wear a soft, supportive bra. Your chest will feel sore and tight for the first week, and you can expect bruising to gradually fade over the 1 to 2 weeks following surgery. You can resume more strenuous activities in about 6 weeks.

Many women ask if they can get the results they want with a breast augmentation instead of a lift. That depends on the degree of breast sagging and the skin’s elasticity. It’s important to know that implants add weight to the breasts and can cause breasts to sag even more. On the other hand, a boob lift won’t increase the size of the breasts.
