For many women, asymmetry of the breasts is a very difficult issue to handle. Although not uncommon, the differences in breast size can make the simple task of fitting and buying bras a very stressful experience. When this 44 year old, 5'6", 158 pound woman came in for her consultation with Dr. Vath, she expressed her frustration of having dealt with this since her teenage years. In addition, the compounding effects of both age and having children, caused her breasts to sag which made the problem even more upsetting for her. With Dr. Vath's advice, this patient underwent a mastopexy (breast lift) and a breast augmentation. Smooth, round, mid profile, silicone gel implants were inserted below the pectoral muscles. Due to the significant differences between the breasts, a 457 cc implant was used on the left breast and a 397 cc implant was used on the right to achieve the desired outcome. She loves the outcome. Surgery has given her the much desired boost to her self confidence. Post-operative pictures were taken 3 months after her surgery.
