Although BOTOX injections are often called “lunchtime” procedures because they are simple and require no downtime, the clinicians at Rejuvenate MedSpa and SkinLab Denver want to take the time to understand your goals and expectations by starting with a cosmetic consultation. While most patients find these treatments quite tolerable from a pain perspective, some do request a topical numbing agent, so we ask that you arrive earlier than your appointment time to allow the numbing agent to take effect. In addition, we ask that you arrive 10 minutes before your procedure so you can complete the necessary forms if you are a new patient or update them if you are an existing patient.
BOTOX is injected using a tiny needle directly into the problem areas of your face. Once the injections are complete, you’ll be able to go back to your normal activities right away. It is advised to avoid strenuous exercise immediately after an injection to minimize bruising.

When you choose a qualified injector, the risks of BOTOX treatments are minimal. Drooping eyebrows or eyelids, or a sagging forehead, indicate poor BOTOX placement, which can take up to 3 months to reverse. The most common side effects include headache, nausea, flu-like symptoms, and eyelid droop. These conditions are usually temporary.
