Mini Facelift Before & After Case 10868

This 48 year-old woman came to me concerned about the increasing "fullness" of her lower face over time, despite not having gained weight.  I explained that this was likely due to natural facial aging, whereby the "inverted pyramid" of youth is gradually replaced by descent of the facial structures due to laxity of the skin, and downward malposition of fatty structures (as well as the general effects of sun-damage, etc.) 

I recommeded a "mini-facelift" under light general anesthesia, with an approach utilizing short scars well hidden around the ears to elevate, reposition and tighten these structures in a direction (or vector) opposite what gravity and aging had created.  She recovered very quickly (photos are from approximately 1 month post-op, and some mild swelling remains).  The patient was very pleased with her results, and soon after moved to the West Coast.
