SMAS Facelift Before & After Case 810

This is a 59 year-old woman who disliked her advanced signs of facial aging, particularly at her jowl and anterior neck areas, leading to a "rectangular" look.  To get back to a more youthful "angular" look, she was offered a Denver "mini-facelift" (approaching the neck and lower face from around the ears only) under light general anesthesia (no drains), and did very nicely. This "tried-and-true" 2-layer SMAS-plication facelift can be performed with less time in the OR (and less overall downtime) - plus much lower risks of dangerous bleeding or damage to the facial motor nerves - relative to the "deep plane facelift" now promoted in Denver, and for a fraction of the cost. She is shown at approximately 4 weeks post-op with already faint scars, and minimal post-op bruising and swelling nearly fully resolved.
