Questions About Laser Skin Resurfacing

I am interested in laser treatment for my acne. Is this the best and quickest remedy?

Thanks for your inquiry regarding laser resurfacing for acne scarring. There are many ways to manage acne scarring depending upon the type of scarring, location, and severity. CO2 laser resurfacing is an aggressive way to manage acne scarring but is helpful for the right people. The best way to determine this is to come in for a consult to evaluate your skin and your goals. Many people benefit from other treatment modalities such as chemical peels or microneedling. It just depends upon your specific needs. If CO2 laser resurfacing seems to be the best option, generally you would have it once, or perhaps twice at the most.

I am interested in full face laser resurfacing. Can you laser the neck as well? Thank you!

The neck is an area that cannot be lasered. However, our medical spa, Rejuvenate!, offers different peels and medical-grade skin care products are effective in improving the skin on the neck. That would include Blue Peels, MicroPeels, and IPL.

Is CO2 laser resurfacing effective in improving facial scarring from chicken pox?

The CO2 laser can be effective in treating scars. It would depend on the depth of your scarring and your individual skin characteristics. Other modalities such as microneedling, which are offered at our medical spa, Rejuvenate!, can also assist in reducing facial scarring.

Vertical upper lip lines are very much improved when using the CO2RE laser for resurfacing. Depending on your after-care routine (do you use high quality products?) and ALWAYS using sunscreen, as well as the depth of your lines, you can enjoy the improvements for 2 or more years.
